It is common to see shopping malls in every city and major town and yet, more are still being built; but what we need now are more parks and recreational areas because when people visit shopping malls, they are not there to buy but to stroll.
It can also be noticed that while some restaurants and other food outlets may be full of people, the other stores are generally empty. Parks would be better and healthier for the general population because fresh air is better than being cooped up in an air-conditioned space.
That is why authorities should take this matter seriously and consider building more recreational parks instead of more shopping malls in the future because it is better to preserve nature than destroy it just to construct more buildings.
Also, building more parks and recreational areas would encourage people to stay outside and enjoy the breeze of fresh air. It would also be a motivation for everyone to exercise and stay healthy.
